Scuba diving and hotel information.




The webster region of El Salvador has the most attractive site for scuba divers, Los Cobanos the largest rocky reef of the north of the Pacific and the marine biological corridor between Mexico and the South America is located here.
scuba diving activities take place at approximately 5 kilometers in the open sea with depths from 20 to 30 meters for about 5 hours.

The diving lovers enjoy come to Los Cobanos because in addition of the diversity of the marine life of these coral formations they can look for the remains of ships from the 19th Century

Los Cobanos Beach


This beautiful beach has rocky reefs and clear sand, it's an excellent destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts for its variety of coral and marine fauna all in 160 Km rock formation.

Los Cobanos beach is located in the department of Sonsonate and is considerated a great destination for scuba diving fans since it has the biggest rocky reef of the North of the Pacific Ocean. It is also the sanctuary of several marine species and a paradise for having a great time while we are practicing scuba diving.

During the summer, there are many tours leaving from Acajutla pier or from Los Cobanos beach, they last approximately from 4 to 5 hours and immersion are 20 to 30 meters deep.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
El Salvador is located to the Southwest of Central America and on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It is the only country of the region that doesn't possess coast in the Atlantic Ocean.

Entrance requirements: Valid passport, and according to the country of origin, sometimes is necessary a tourist visa or tourist card that cost $10 and it’s normally valid for 90 days.

Mobile Phone: GSM 850, 900, 1900. and 1950 networks.
Fax and Internet: Hotels have facilities. Internet access is easily available throughout El Salvador, as well as WI-FI points.

Lodging: The greater concentration of hotels is in the capital city. It is recommended that it is reserved ahead of time. Lodgings of all type exist.
Tips: It’s appropriate to give 10% tip in the majority of restaurants and bars. Some places include that tip on the bill.
Suitable clothes: slight clothes are recommend and some wardrobe suitable for the rainy season.
